![]() It could as well explain why the bird people cannot fly (although can't tell if they could in our world). And that might explain the lack of flying birds: The laws of gravitation or whatever might be more restrictive then what we have in our world. While talking in the lab, Kip Silverpoint tells us that everybody thought that building a floating contraption was against the laws of physics. Nobody except our insanely creative and creatively insane Author, the inventor of flying machines and the owner of the only one to exist. Without them, nobody had the idea of building a plane. But what does it have to do with the Author and his flying machine? Y'see, in the real world (I mean our world, not the Author's home one that was destroyed), the humanity's inspiration to build planes and other flying contraptions were (mostly) birds. Yeah, there are those phosphor fireflies in the Glen, but I think the difference between them and birds is pretty obvious. See, without birds, there are no living beings that fly in OneShot. And this is what connects us to the part with the flying machine. Where are regular birds? Sure, is penguin plushies exist then real penguins should live here too, but what about flying birds? THERE. However, there is a little twist here: There are bird people here, but. The dialogues of the rest don't actually help us out a lot more than showing a few facts about The Tower (for example, that it used to spin to cover the land with light from the sun). The ones we get to talk to the most are Alula and Calamus, which I'm gonna refer to as "The Children of the Ruins". They're something like Niko, but when he was a cat person, they're, well. If you want to see the first one, the link to it is in the second theory. Reading my previous theories is recommended, the link to the second one is here. Of course, this one will contain spoilers too. You're a free person, you can choose what to read, and it doesn't have to be my theories.Īnyway, if you're interested in the theory, you're probably bored with the intro already. And I don't blame you if you don't want to read the theory because of the statement. After all, it is me who brings the controversial statement here. ![]() If it sounds like I'm insane, I get it and don't blame you for thinking that way. It's about creating my interpretation of the story that is most reasonable for me and (maybe) some other people. And I know, what I'm about to tell may sound weird, but hear me out:įor me, making theories is not about uncovering what the developers intended when making the game. I know it's really unlikely that my viev on the story is the same as the devs'. Before we get into the theory I just wanna tell one thing about my theories as a response for a few comments on parts one and two.Ī few people have been commenting that my theories are too complicated to be intended by the developers. This time, it's about the bird people of the Glen, including the mysterious Prophet, including a few words about the yellow phosphor items and the plane flying machine that Cedric posseses. So welcome to the third part of my OneShot theory.
